    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Early 2 Gallon Ovoid Jug stamped "Charlestown."


    This is the stamp of Frederick Carpenter who ran the pottery in Charlestown, Massachusetts for Barnabas Edmands from 1812-1827 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 49).


    This beauty features an Early Ovoid Form, a Clear "Charlestown" Stamp, Two Impressed Hearts, and Ochre Dip on the Top and Bottom. Stands 13 1/2" tall.


    Excellent Condition.  Typically wear.  That's it! No chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration. Contact marks from the firing, especially the lower left side.
