Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this uncommon 1 Gallon Jar made and stamped by "C. W. Morehead, Somerset, O."  
 
Morehead worked in Perry County, Ohio.
 
Circa 1850, this beauty features a Flared Rim, Recessed Shoulder for Tying a Cover over the Jar,  and the Pottery Stamp.  Stands 9" tall.
 
Excellent Condition.  Four narrow chips around the bottom edge (1/4" to 1 1/4").  No rim chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  Slightly pushed in at the top in the back in the making.
