Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Stoneware Script Jug made for "C. Kamper's Sons, 151 Michigan St., Buffalo, N.Y." 


It was made and stamped by "J. Fisher, Lyons, N.Y." This is the work of Jacob Fisher who ran the pottery in Lyons from 1872-1902 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 74).


This beauty features the Pottery Stamp and Four Lines of Freehand Cobalt Script Advertising.  The cobalt is bold and the glaze clean!  You will love it!   Stands 13 3/4" tall.


Good Condition.  A hairline on the back from near the bottom to under the handle with some branches top and bottom.  Only the main center line shows inside.  A 4" hairline on the left side that wraps under and across the bottom.  Solid.  No chips, stains, or restoration.  Some bubbles in the cobalt in the making.
