• Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Uncommon Blue and White Spongeware Child's Teapot.


    The spongeware color is distinctive of the Burford Brothers of East Liverpool, Ohio who made some of the best spongeware of their day.


    Dating to the late 19th century, this piece has a Classic Form with Canted Sides, Graceful Spout and Handle Tucked Close to the Body, and a Lid with Fancy Finial.  Rich Cobalt Sponging on a White Palette.  Stands 5 1/4" tall to the top of the finial.


    Excellent Condition. A single pinhead-size nibble on the inner rim where the lid sits.  That is it!  Lid is mint.
