Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Crock with Classic Chicken Pecking Corn Decoration.
It was made and stamped by Brady and Ryan of Ellenville, N.Y. Samuel Brady and John J. Ryan ran their pottery in Ellenville from 1878-1897 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware , p. 66).
This beauty features a Small 2 Gallon Size, Pottery Stamp, and a Chicken Pecking Corn on Ground Cover. The decoration is executed with a slip cup in shiny cobalt. Measures 9 1/4" tall and 9 3/4" wide across the top.
Excellent Condition. Faint traces of water glass staining on the back. That's it! No chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration. Narrow chips on the top of the rim on the left side from separation from another crock in the making.
