Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Blue and White Rolling Pin with Original Handles in the Wildflower Pattern. You can see similar rolling pins in this pattern in Taylor and Lowrance, Collector's Encyclopedia of Salt Glaze Stoneware, pp. 142-145.
It was made for advertising and reads, "Compliments of Pennypacker & Bromer, General Merchandise, Schwenkville, PA."
Dating around 1900 to 1920, this beauty features Stripes and Two Bunches of Wildflowers around Each End, and the Four Lines of Stenciled Advertising in the Middle Repeated Twice. All the cobalt is strong and shiny which is not often the case on these pins. Measures 7 1/2" long and 2 1/2" in diameter. Appears to have the original handles.
Excellent Condition. Other than some spots of light crazing, this piece is as made! No damage.
