Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Blue and White Clovers Jar in the Basketweave and Morning Glory Pattern.
This pattern was made by J.W. McCoy (1899 - 1910) and Brush-McCoy (1911 - 1924) both from Ohio.
This beauty is featured in Taylor and Lowrance, Collector's Encyclopedia of Salt Glaze Stoneware, on p. 194.
Dating to the early 20th century, this beauty features an Intricate Basketweave Pattern with "Cloves" in a Banner Embossed on the Front and a Morning Glory on the Back. Very strong mold lines on this piece, so it was made early in the life of the mold. Excellent color too. Stands 3 1/4" tall.
Very Good Condition. The base is as made. No damage of any kind. The lid has a 3/8" chip on the knob and minor chips on the underside as shown. No hairlines, cracks, stains or restoration on either base or lid.
