Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Blue and White Spongeware Mug.
It was made by the Uhl Pottery of Evansville, Indiana in the early 20th century (Anna Mary Feldmeyer and Kara Holtzman, Uhl Pottery, 2nd ed., p.24). They rarely come to market.
This beauty features a Slightly Indented and Rounded Rim and Careful Blue Sponging in 9 Vertical Rows of 4 Circles. Stands 4 1/2" tall.
Excellent Condition. Some crazing inside at the bottom and two pinhead-size nibbles on the bottom edge. That's it! No rim chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
