Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this striking Blue and White Hot Water Pitcher in the Banded Pattern.

One nearly identical is pictured in the Collector's Encyclopedia of Salt Glaze Stoneware by Taylor and Lowrance on page 213.

This pitcher features a "Trumpet-Like" Rim, Bulbous Body Perched on a Small Footer, a Splendid Curved Handle, and Very Careful Blue and White Sponging Around Center Stripes.  The sponging looks like swirled rows of vining with flowers cascading down from the top.  The cobalt is strong too just like we like it!  Stands 7" tall.

Excellent Condition.  Three pinhead-size nibbles together on the rim, and a 1/4" ping on the bottom white stripe on the side with the handle pointing right.  That's it!  No base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.

Rarely do you see a pitcher like this with such artistry.
