Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this gorgeous Blue and White Spongeware Pitcher in the Old Fashioned Garden Rose Pattern.


Dating to the early 20th century, this beauty bears a Raised, Single-Stemmed Rose on Each Side. The sponging is the chain link pattern with 7 vertical columns of 5 rings each.  Careful sponging all around.  The sponging leaves the embossed rose easy to see.  Stands 9" tall.


This beauty is featured in Taylor and Lowrance, Collector's Encyclopedia of Salt Glaze Stoneware, on pages 63-64.


Excellent Condition.  Four minor nibbles on the bottom edge (1/8" to 3/16").  That's it!  No rim chips, hairlines, cracks, staining, or restoration.
