Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Weird Stoneware Cream Pot with Zombies.   It is signed on the bottom with a Cross, the initials JB, and the date 1983.

This is the work of Jerry Beaumont, a contemporary master potter, who was running the Beaumont Pottery in York, Maine at the time this piece was made.  In my experience, his work ranks supreme among the contemporary potters and is escalating in value.

This beauty features a Zombie Family:  Father, Mother, Dog, and Cat.  Might have been a hillbilly family, but Zombie is more like it!  Weird, weird, weird and just in time for Halloween as a candy bowl!

All the decoration is created with a slip cup in vivid cobalt and accented throughout.  Measuares 6 1/2" tall and 8" wide across the top.

The decoration resembles nothing from the 19th century!  lol

Exceptional Condition.  As made.  No damage of any kind.
