Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Gorgeous 1 Gallon Stoneware Cream Pot made and stamped on the shoulder by the "Beaumont Pottery, York, Maine" and scratched on the bottom with a cross and the date 1986.

This is the work of Jerry Beaumont, a contemporary master potter.  In my experience, his work ranks supreme among the contemporary potters and is escalating in value.

This beauty features the pottery stamp and a  Cornucopia filled with Leaves and Flowers.  All the decoration is created with a slip cup in strong cobalt and accented throughout.  Exceptionally rich and shiny.  Measures 9" tall and 6 1/4" wide across the top.  About 1 gallon.

The decoration closely resembles that of Rochester, NY potters in the mid 19th century- particularly Harrington and Burger.   One like this from the period in this size would run over $10,000.  You can have this one for much less!

Exceptional Condition.  As made.  No damage of any kind.
