Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this rare 2 Gallon Cream Pot made and stamped by "A. L. McChesney."


This is the stamp of Andrew McChesney who began a pottery in Newport, Tuscarawas County, Ohio in 1843 which was out of production by 1850 (F. Robert Treichler, A History of Northeast Ohio Stoneware, p. 107.


This beauty features the Cream Pot form with Broad Rim and the Pottery Stamp on the Front.  Measures 10" tall and 9 1/2" wide across the top.


Good Condition. A 4" hairline near the bottom of the left side the wraps under 2 1/2', and a 3" hairline on the bottom of the front that wraps under 2".  No chips, stains, or restoration.
