    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this uncommon 4 Gallon Churn made and stamped by "A. Dollison."


    This is the work of Armstrong Dollison (1816-1899) whom made pottery in Vinton and Hocking Counties, Ohio in the 1860's to 1880's (Jeff Carskadden and Richard Gartley, James L. Murphy's Checklist of 19th-Century Bluebird Potters and Potteries, Muskingum County, Ohio, pp. 186-87). 


    This beauty features a Tall and Slender Form with Tooled and Flared Rim, and the Pottery Stamp.  Stands 16" tall.  


    Very Good Condition.  Three chips on the rim (1/2", 3/4", and 1 1/4").  That's it!  No base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
