    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this uncommon Oyster Jar made for "A. D. Horr."  

     

    According to records from Rhode Island online, Horr was a merchant in Providence, Rhode Island in the 1850's.  

     

    Dating to the 1880's, this oyster jar features Salt Glaze, and the Merchant Name with Cobalt Wash.  Stands 7 3/4" tall.

     

    I can find no other example of this jar online anywhere.  

     

    Excellent Condition.  Some overall light staining from age.   That's it!  No chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
