• Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 6" Stoneware Wax Sealer Canning Jar made by "A. Conrad, New Geneva, Pa."


    Alexander Conrad ran the pottery in New Geneva from 1870-1882 before moving to Shinnston, WV (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 164-65).


    Dating to the 1870's, this beauty features the Company Name and Address in Fancy Script with Leaf Accents at the Bottom.  Stands 6" tall. 


    Excellent Condition. A few pinhead-size nibbles inside the rim, two chips on the rim (1/4", 1/2").  That's it! No base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  Two other chips on top of the rim are in the making and glazed over.


    As you know, 6" wax sealers are tough to find!
