    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 3 Gallon Crock made by "A. Conrad, Monongahela Pottery, New Geneva, PA." 


    Alexander Conrad ran the pottery in New Geneva from 1870-1882 before moving to Shinnston, WV (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 164-65).


    Dating to the 1870's, this beauty features the Company Advertising in Five Lines on the Front with a Broad Cobalt Stripe above and a Large Capacity Number Flanked by Arrows Below.  Additional cobalt accents at the handle terminals.  Measures 11 3/4" tall and 10 1/4" wide across the top.


    Very Good Condition.  Wear around the inside of the rim, and overall wear and light staining on the outside.  No chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
