Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1/2 Gallon Jar made by "A. Conrad, New Geneva, PA." 


Alexander Conrad ran the pottery in New Geneva from 1870-1882 before moving to Shinnston, WV (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 164-65).


Dating to the 1870's, this beauty features the Company Advertising in Bold Letters Cradled by Leaves at the Bottom.  Stands 8 1/2" tall.


Excellent Condition.  As made.  No damage of any kind.   Roughness on the top, two kiln touches, and some bubbling in the cobalt--all in the making.
