    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this gorgeous 1 1/2 Gallon Cream Pot made by "A. Conrad, New Geneva, PA." 


    Alexander Conrad ran the pottery in New Geneva from 1870-1882 before moving to Shinnston, WV (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 164-65).


    Dating to the 1870's, this beauty features the Company Advertising in Bold 3/4" Block Letters with Floral Accents to the Side and a Fancy Border Below.  The capacity number at the bottom is flanked by roses.  All the cobalt is dark, bright, and shiny.  On the light gray glaze the decoration really shines.  Stands 9 1/4" tall. 


    Excellent Condition.  A 1" chip on the rim on the right side.  That's it!  No other chips or any hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  A small kiln touch on the rigt side and slightly convex on the base in the making.
