• Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Monumental 2 Gallon Jug made by "A. Conrad & Co., New Geneva, PA."

Alexander Conrad ran the pottery in New Geneva from 1870-1882 before moving to Shinnston, WV (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 164-65) .

Dating to the 1870's, this beauty features the Company Name and Address in 3/4" Block Letters with Victorian Eastlake Decorations on the Top Corners, Tulip Buds in the Middle, and Leaves on the Bottom.   On the light gray clay, the pretty blue really stands out.   Stands 14" tall.
