Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 8" Canning Jar whose decoration indicates that it was made by John Poole Schermerhorn.
Schermerhorn had a pottery on Rocketts Landing of the James River in Henrico County, Virginia by 1820.

This beauty features Freehand Cobalt Vining on Each Side. The vining is executed in very pretty and right cobalt. Stands 8" tall.
Excellent Condition. Two 1" chips on the underside at the edge. That's it! No rim chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
