Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Superb 1 Gallon Wax Sealer Canning Jar from Southwestern Pennsylvania. 
 
Circa 1870, this beauty features a Full Gallon Size, Carefully Tooled Rim and Shoulder, and Seven Cobalt Stripes down the Front with a Surprising Wavy Stripe introduced near the Bottom.  Sharp contrast between the light gray glaze and the bright cobalt stripes. Stands 9 3/4" tall. 
 
Excellent Condition. Two 5/8" chips on the inner rim and a 7/8" chip inside the rim.  No outer rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains or restoration.
