Richard Remmey ran the family pottery in Philadelphia from the 1860's until the turn of the century (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 8-10).
Dating to the 1860's, this beauty features the Uncommon Small 7" Size, Tooled Rim and Shoulder, and a Garland of 4 Leaves Around the Middle. Each leaf has 4 brushstrokes of strong cobalt. What a robust contrast! Stands 7" tall.
Excellent Condition. Some light staining near the base. That's it! No chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
