    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 6 1/2" Blue and White Spongeware Pitcher.


    It was made by the Uhl Pottery of Huntingburg, Indiana (Anna Mary Feldmeyer & Kara Holtzman, Uhl Pottery, 2nd ed., p. 25). 


    Dating to the early 20th century, this beauty has a Bulbous Base with Tall Neck and Pinched Spout, as well as Dark and Patterned Sponging! This form and maker are a perennial favorite with collectors.  This is the smallest of 3 sizes, standing 6 1/2" tall.


    Excellent Condition.  Two 1/4" chips inside the rim (closeup) and some glaze crazing of age.  No outer rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
