Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 5 Gallon Jar from Southwestern Pennsylvania, possibly Beaver County.
Dating around 1860, this beauty feature a Thick and Carefully Crafted Rim with Inner Seating Ring for a Lid. It Sports Two Rows of Vining Framing Two Sideways Tulips in the Center. The cobalt decoration is applied liberally with a brush. Stands 15 1/2" tall.
Very Good Condition. A surface-only 8" vertical line on the left side of the decoration (closeup 1), and a small chip on the rim in the back with a 5" from the rim to its left (mainly seen outside- closeup 2)) and a 5" line to the right mainly seen inside (closeup 3). No inner rim or base chips, stains, or restoration.
