Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 5 Gallon Jar from Southwestern Pennsylvania, possibly Beaver County.
Dating around 1860, this beauty feature a Thick and Carefully Crafted Rim with Ledge for a Lid. It Sports Two Rows of Vining Framing Two Sideways Tulips in the Center. The cobalt decoration is applied liberally with a brush. Stands 15 1/2" tall.
Very Good Condition. A surface-only 8" vertical "H" shaped line on the left side of the decoration (closeup 1), and a small chip and 5" hairline from the rim on the back (closeup 2). No inner rim or base chips, stains, or restoration.
