    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderfull 4 Gallon Crock Jar. 


    The decoration is distincitve and indicates that it was made by the Thompson Pottery of Morganton, West Virginia.


    Circa 1860, this beauty features Top, Middle, and Bottom Stripes that create Two Panels.  The top panel hosts an undulating fern-like vine from side to side, and the bottom panel contains the capacity number flanked by a vertical ferns.  Additional cobalt accents at the handles.  Stands 15" tall.  


    Excellent Condition.  Two 1/4" chips on the left handle, and chips/nibble along the right handle.  Some surface wear in the front.  No rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
