Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 3 Gallon Stoneware Crock.
The decoration indicates that this crock is the work of Jacob Fisher who ran the pottery in Lyons from 1872-1902 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 74).
This beauty feature the a Large Folky Tulip all the Way Up the Front. The stem was created with a slip cup and the leaves and blossom with a brush. Bright cobalt too! Measures 9 1/2" tall and 11" wide across the top.
Excellent Condition. A 3/8" chip on the back near the middle and some spots of staining from use. That is it! No rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration. A narrow 3/4" iron ping on the left side in the making.
