Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Decorated Crock.
The decoration is that of John Darrow of Baldwinsville, New York who made stoneware from 1852-1876 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 70).
This beauty sports a Large Bird on a Log Decoration. All the cobalt is bright and shiny. A visual delight! Measures 9 1/4" tall and 10" wide across the top.
Very Good Condition. Three chips inside the rim (1/8" to 3/8"), a flat 3/8" chip on top of the rim, a 1/2" chip on the right handle, a 1/4" chip on the underside, and some light staining. No outer rim chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
