Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Stoneware Crock whose decoration indicates it was made by Samuel Brady and John J. Ryan who ran their pottery in Ellenville. N.Y. from 1878-1897 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware , p. 66).


This beauty features a Bushy-Tailed Bird Poised on Branch with Three Leaves and Many Dots.  The decoration is executed in shiny cobalt.  Measures 9 1/4" tall and 9 3/4" wide across the top.


Very Good Condition.   Two narrow chips inside the rim (1/4", 1/2"), a chip on the rim to the front left (1/2"), and some small flakes below that chip at the rim and base edge.   No hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
