Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this super clean and beautiful 1 Gallon Decorated Stoneware Jar.

This jar is easily attributed to Richard Remmey who made stoneware in Philadelphia at the family pottery from the 1860's to the turn of the century (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 8-9).

Circa 1860, this beauty features a Jar Form with Tooled Rim, Inscribed Shoulder Band, and a Three Brushed Cobalt Tulips Around the Middle.  Between 10 and 13 leaves per tulip.  Gorgeous cobalt too!  Stands 10 3/4" tall.

Excellent Condition.  Two minor chips on the rim (1/8", 1/4").  That's it!  No inner rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
