Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Stoneware 1/2 Gallon Cream Pot.
The decoration indicates is was made by James Hamilton of Greensboro, Pennsylvania. Hamilton ran his pottery in Greensboro from the 1860's to 1880 (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 154-157).
Dating to the 1870's, this beauty features a Small Cream Pot Form, Carefully Tooled Rim, and a Diagonal Stripe Composed of Crosses. Measures 6 1/4" tall and 6 1/2" wide across the top.
Excellent Condition. Two small chips inside the rim (1/8", 1/4"), and a 1" chip on the bottom edge. No outer rim chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
