Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 1/2 Gallon Decorated Preserve Jar.
The decoration indicates that this jar was made by Asa Smith and his Cousin, Noah Day who worked in Norwalk, Connecticut from 1843-1849 ( William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, pp. 58-60).
This beauty features a Brushed Cobalt Tulip with 6 Pairs of Leaves and a Blossom with 6 Petals. Strong and pretty cobalt is used throughout. Stands 11" tall.
Very Good Condition. Some water glass staining inside and some stains outside. No chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
